Larkin Township Summer Tax Information

Please return tax notice with payment.  Your cancelled check is your receipt.  If you want a mailed receipt, send a self-addressed envelope with your payment. You are encouraged to pay by mail. 

The Treasurer will be available to accept personal payment of taxes on Tuesday, September 14, 2010 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the address listed above or by appointment (835-9409). 

A drop box is also available by the door. 

It is the taxpayer’s responsibility to forward tax bill to mortgage company.  See back of tax bill for more information.  Also, check out our website at www.larkintownship.org or email us at lctclerk@charterinternet.com.

Summer tax deferment application forms are available under the Form section.  The form requires applicants to verify that they qualify for the deferment.  The form must be completed each year in order to have taxes deferred without penalty. 

The form must be filed by September 15th. 

These are tax deferments NOT exemptions.  If you defer your summer taxes it is wise to keep your bill and remember that summer amounts will not appear on the winter bill.  Summer taxes will go delinquent if you fail to pay them when you pay the winter taxes.
