Trash and Recycle Information

 Trash and Recycle should be out by the road

 by 7:00 a.m. the morning of pick up.

 Homes South of Monroe and All Subdivisions are picked up on Monday.Homes North of Monroe are picked up on Thursday.

When a Holiday falls on a trash pick-up day, your pick-up will be the following day. 

TRASH

Unlimited household trash

Tires must be cut and quartered

One large HOUSEHOLD item per week

(i.e., refrigerator, may include items with freon)

 

 RWS will not pick up any yard waste or hazardous waste. 

 

If curb cart is not being used: all trash must be bagged, boxed, canned or bundled and may not exceed 32 gallons in size, or 60 pounds in weight. Bundles must be no longer than (4) foot.

  

Recycle is every other Monday or Thursday along with your trash pick-up.

           Oxboard (shoe boxes, cereal boxes, ect.)
           Tin Cans                                 
           Aluminum Cans
           Phone Books                          
           Clear, Green and Brown Glass Containers
           Brown Paper Bags                 
           Computer Paper

Aerosol Cans
           Magazines                              
           Catalogs

 

SORTING:

 

Cardboard – Must be broken down and tied in bundles no more   than 2 square feet.

Paper (junk mail, paper, magazines, phone books, computer paper, paper bags, catalogs, newspaper and boxboard) – Must be placed in a paper bag or some type of open container.

Plastic, tin cans, aluminum cans, glass containers and aerosol cans – Must be placed in the recycle bin provided by the township.

Paper products must be kept separate from all containers (glass, tin, plastic, etc.)

 

You may also use Midland Landfill (4315 Ashman/989-839-9577) – You are allowed to dump once a month.
